Our Values

Values are an integral part of life. They shape who we are as individuals, and it’s the same with the Body of Christ. Values are the drivers behind the behavior of a church. This includes the decisions made, money spent, risks taken, problems
solved, goals set, and priorities determined. The following values are the guide by which we as a church operate; in other words, how we “do life together.”

Picture

Faith

Picture
We believe that faith is the foundational principle of life, and it informs and guides all that we do. Faith is “the whole-souled acceptance that what God says is true, based on the sufficiency of the evidence.” We seek to live a life of faith as described in Scripture (Hebrews 11:1-2).

Family

Picture
We believe that God has ordained the family (including the institution of marriage) as the foundational institution of human society (Genesis 1:26-28); as goes the family, so goes the society.

Community

Picture
We believe that life “happens best” in community. Such a community includes discipleship, vulnerability, and accountability (Luke 6:12-13). We seek to be a fellowship-based community modeled on that which we see in the early church (Acts 2:42): serving God and one another.

Truth

Picture
We believe that Truth comes from God and that the Bible is the Ultimate Truth. The Truth of God is ours to proclaim, not modify (2 Timothy 3:16).

Unity

Relevance

Picture
We seek to be that united body which Jesus prayed for (John 17:21). We are more interested in glorifying God than arguing over non-salvational issues on which we may have differing opinions. We actively embrace the early Restoration principle of “In essentials, unity; in non-essentials, liberty; in all things, love.”
Picture
We strive to be culturally relevant while remaining committed to the proclamation of the Gospel and to the teaching sound doctrine. We are committed to meeting people where they are, with what they need (Jesus),  presenting it (the Gospel) in a language they can understand.  (1 Corinthians 9:20-22).

Service

Picture
We believe that every member is gifted by God to be equipped for and involved in ministry (1 Corinthians 12:27, Ephesians 4:11-13).

Evangelism

Picture
We believe the “supreme task of the church ”is the evangelization
of the world; consequently, we are committed to live lives that point people to Jesus
(
Matthew 28:18-20).
